The Garden
Really great teaching doesn’t just happen. Diane worked diligently to become a great teacher, parent and human being. Right in the middle of this quest, Diane found out that she had cancer. She was raising two little children and teaching. When all the options to cure the cancer failed, she started the process to leave this earth. Knowing that Diane loved flowers, a friend and coworker, Nancy, orchestrated the planting of a beautiful garden right outside Diane’s window. As coworkers came and went to plant, water and tend to the garden, Diane watched and smiled. When the end came, the acts of kindness didn’t stop as her little boys saw the result of that act and held it in their hearts to adulthood.
