A true random act of kindness
On a non-school day, I (dad) took my two elementary-aged children to my favorite restaurant, which is an upscale Brazilian Steakhouse. We are regulars and know it is pricey but so worth it. Today, the adjacent table was a woman in her 40s celebrating something, along with two gentlemen in their 70s. We did not converse and only saw them occasionally looking our way. They left just prior to our dessert arriving, and the waiter informed me that they had paid for our bill (about $90). I've never experienced anything like this before so I'm really taking the kind gesture to heart, already wondering what I can do for someone else. Moreover, it was special for my child to witness what happened and see how a small act can mean a lot.
