Haverford High School's No Place For Hate Week of Kindness
Hello! We are Haverford High School's No Place For Hate club and in honor of Random Act of Kindness Day, we created the "Week of Kindness" at our school. Our mission, like the Random Act of Kindness Foundation, was to make kindness the norm. Every day we had volunteers from our club to hand things out to the school, and make each day a little bit brighter! We made a huge banner with our club members and hung it up in our main lobby. On Monday, we handed out heart stickers. On Tuesday we handed out hot chocolate packets because we live in Pennsylvania and it was very cold that day! On Wednesday, we handed out affirmations that we created varying from "I am capable" to "I am loved". On Thursday, we played positive, uplifting music in between classes and before school. On Friday, we were able to work with our school cafeteria and hand out free cookies to students! Every day we encouraged students to complete random acts of kindness. Overall, from the volunteers to the students to the staff, everyone benefitted! Every day our school was able to spread a little kindness and became an infectious cycle.
