BE present
One time during a regular day at the (home)office, I called a colleague in my department which I do not know quiet well. The purpose of the call was for him to confirm any project details, we ended up talking about an hour mainly on the struggles of life and work. Like most conversations, people ask each other how they are doing, but only rarely people actual listen to the response of that question. The other person decided to be authentic and share what's on it's mind AND I decided to listen compassionately and BE present in the moment. A valuable act of kindness that helped us both leaving the call more energized than we entered it.
