Its Cold outside
This winter has been an extremely cold one. I went to the local convenience store to get a soda, when I noticed a man who looked like he was down on his luck. I overheard him talking to the lady that worked there, he said he was trying to get assistance from a couple of local charities but was not able to get any help. He had been living in his van. It was -25 degrees outside, and his van ran out of gas at 6:00a.m. I heard the lady ask if he had a gas can, he did. She told him to go get it. While he was outside, I walked up to the lady and asked if I could help. She said she was going to give him some gas. I gave her $40 and told her to give it to him for gas or food which ever he needed. I hope I brought some warmth to his day.
