Offering hugs in town
Some friends in our market town in Suffolk, UK, are getting together every year around valentines since 2022 to offer hugs to passers-by. Even if people do not take us up on our offer, our signs make them smile and lights up their day.
Especially in 2022 we had so many comments from people that they haven't had close contact with people in a such a long time, or even that it was the first time they had ventured into town.
This year we are out on the street on Saturday 17th, February 2024, and I just found out it is "random acts of kindness" day. What a great idea!
