Nomination for Outstanding Altruism and Dedication
I would like to nominate my granddaughter, Jennifer, for her outstanding acts of kindness and dedication. Jennifer adopted a young boy named Dylan when he was approximately 4 years old and she was in her early twenties.
Jennifer's parents cared for foster children and adopted a brother and a sister. During this time, Jennifer and her brother helped look after the foster children. Jennifer pursued her education in early childhood education and upon returning from college decided to adopt Dylan.
She knew Dylan would never be placed anywhere else due to his need for total care.
Jennifer dedicated countless hours to care for Dylan, including spending many hours at Sick Kids Hospital. Later she moved to the Maritimes and continued to care for him in Nova Scotia. In addition to caring for Dylan who is now 19 or 20 years old, Jennifer is also a devoted mother to her four children.
Her selfless commitment and love she provided to Dylan, along with raising her own children, are truly remarkable.
This is why I believe Jennifer deserves to be nominated for incredible acts of kindness and dedication.
