Accepting Hunter
Submitted by Mistee HurleyHi! I would like to tell you about my ‘one’, Jaymie Lute. I have known Jaymie for almost 11 years. She is the most thoughtful, kind, and generous person I have ever met, and simply radiates positivity. She is always doing for others, never asking for anything in return. My son, Hunter, is Autistic. There are many times that I feel judged and uncomfortable in a public place due to Hunter's special view of life. People are not always very kind to those with special needs. Jaymie, however, is the one person in all my years of knowing her who has never made me feel like I needed to have my guard up when it comes to Hunter. She is the first to offer to go to the zoo or pumpkin patch with us. She understands that Hunter may only be able to tolerate the outing for a short time. She is always supportive when surroundings become overwhelming for him and is never judgmental nor speaks an unkind word about it. I am so truly thankful to have her in my life. She encourages me daily and makes me want to be a better mom and friend.
