Who's Your One?
Submitted by Nanci TaylorMy RAK for 13 Feb 2018. . . We are extremely broke right now and I was returning some used goods so I could buy a few needed food items until Jack's pay comes through. . .on my way in to the grocery store there was a homeless woman sitting with a sign asking for handouts, she looked cold (it is summer here and a nice day), dirty and miserable. . .when I came out, I said to her, as I handed her a banana, "I don't have any money, but I hope this banana will help". The pure look of joy and her smile made my day. We may be broke but we have a roof over our heads, clothes in our closets, food in our kitchen. We are not going hungry. We are not cold or homeless. . .we have so much to be grateful for. I will remember that smile for the rest of my life PS. . .every winter I take the train to Melbourn'e CBD and give the homeless my extra coats, jumpers, blankets and anything else I no longer need to help them make it through the cold days and nights. I also include soaps and shampoos that I have collected from hotels
