World Kindness Day: 4 Simple Ways to Connect Through Kindness
Every November 13th, the world joins together to celebrate World Kindness Day—a global reminder of how small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect that strengthens our connections to one another.
In a world that can often feel divided, practicing kindness gives us a powerful way to connect to each other, ourselves and our values. Check out all the FREE resources to make your home, workplace or school a little bit kinder.
1. Become a Certified Kindness School
The School Kindness Challenge is a great way to build a culture of compassion in schools. As of today, we have 16,000 students and educators who have become RAKtivists and have completed the challenge to become Certified Kindness Schools!
2. Become a “RAKtivist”
Want to make kindness part of your identity? Consider becoming a RAKtivist (Random Acts of Kindness Activist). This global movement unites people dedicated to spreading kindness wherever they go. There are over 75,000 RAKtivists all over the world!
3. Write Letters of Gratitude
One of the most powerful ways to connect is by expressing gratitude. Writing letters to friends, family, teachers, or even strangers shows appreciation and can make someone’s day. A heartfelt note builds bonds and reminds others of the positive impact they have. If you have the opportunity, read the letter in person to the recipient.
4. Receive a Daily Dose of Kindness!
Wake up every morning with a little dose of kindness and inspiration in your email. Sign up at randomactsofkindness.org (we won't use your information for anything other than telling our fabulous Board of Directors how many amazing people want a little kindness each day). :)
We are so happy to be connected to all of you... now we ask you to spend the day connecting (in kindness) with others!
