Random Acts of Kindness Day 2021
Take a deep breath. Open your eyes. Look up. Smile. Everything is going to be alright.

We are tired, but we are resolute in our belief that kindness matters. We know change takes time. This year, the task is simple, but it won’t always be easy. This is the year to explore the good.

I want to share a simple practice I started on New Year’s Day that I plan to continue every single day for the rest of the year (and my life). I reflect on my day and write down the best moment of my day. The simplicity of taking a moment to explore the good in our world is important, especially when we are feeling low. My list isn’t terribly exciting – savoring warm sun on my skin, giving my dog an extra long belly rub, eating my favorite treat, talking to a friend I haven’t spoken to in awhile, listening to a great song, or pulling fresh veggies from my garden.

February 14 – 20 is Random Acts of Kindness Week. It’s a time to go outside of your comfort zone and be loud with your kindness. We’ve got some ideas for how you can #MakeKindnessTheNorm and #ExploreTheGood all week! Kick off the week by making a kindness jar! And, don’t forget to start your list of the good that happened in your world today.

Everything is going to be alright. In fact, everything is going to be amazing if we do the work, explore the good, and make kindness the norm.
